In the Czech Republic, there are only a few concert venues as deeply connected to the underground scene as Klub 007 Strahov in Prague. Operating since 1969, the club has become one of the strongest symbols of Czech underground culture and a place where hundreds of Czech and international bands have performed over the decades.
And it is exactly this long-term continuity that gives the venue its unique atmosphere.
Underground without genre boundaries
From the very beginning, Klub 007 Strahov has been open to a wide range of musical styles. Alongside punk and hardcore, the venue regularly hosts rock, metal, psychobilly, indie rock, ska, electronic music, noise and other alternative or underground genres.
This openness is one of the reasons why the club has built such a strong community around live music over the years.
The stage welcomes both emerging local bands and internationally known acts. Besides the Czech scene, the club regularly hosts European and international artists as well.
A place connecting generations

Although the venue capacity is around 180 people, its importance for the Czech underground scene is far greater than its physical size.

The low stage, direct contact with the crowd and raw concert energy create an atmosphere that large arenas and festivals often cannot replace.
Live concerts still continue today
Even after more than fifty years, the club is far from being only a memory of the past. It still actively operates and regularly hosts concerts by Czech and international bands.
Its current program includes hardcore, punk, metal, alternative music and other underground genres, proving that Prague’s live club culture remains very much alive.
